Kent Police are switching up its Coffee with the Chief to Vino with the 5-0.
Chief Rafael Padilla will meet with residents from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Reds Wine Bar, 321 Ramsay Way, at Kent Station, for an evening of casual conversation over light appetizers.
There is no set agenda, rather it is an opportunity to chat it up and ask the questions you have wanted to ask the chief and officers.
The slang term 5-0 refers to police and was taken from the hit television series “Hawaii Five-O” that aired on CBS from 1968 to 1980. A remake of the series began to air in 2010 on CBS and remains on the air.
Padilla began his law enforcement career in 1992 as a officer with the Honolulu Police Department. He has served with the Kent Police Department since 1997 and became chief in 2018.
