Kent Police investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in the stabbing of a Kent man last Wednesday.

The prime suspect is 32-year-old Michael A. Santos, according to investigators.

Santos is considered armed and dangerous, having stabbed and attacked a 64-year-old East Hill resident, who arrived at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center’s emergency room with multiple stab wounds.

The victim, who sustained life-threatening injuries, remains at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. His name has not yet been released.

Santos is described as possibly being Hispanic or Samoan, with a bald head, standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds. His whereabouts are unknown, but it is believed that he may still be in the Kent area.

Santos is wanted for assault in the first degree and robbery in the first degree in relation to the incident. Investigators said Santos has other charges that are pending as well.

Santos is believed to be in possession of a large “Rambo” style knife and hand gun.

“This subject has a lengthy criminal history, is believed to be under the influence of methamphetamine and is what we consider a danger to the community,” said Kent Police Det. Melanie Robinson

Anyone who spots Santos is warned to not approach him. Instead, immediately call 911 or the Kent Police Department tip line at 253 856-5808.
