A Kent woman was shot in the head in a drive-by shooting on West Hill early Monday morning, Kent Police said.
Police responded at 12:50 a.m. to a report of a shooting at 25319 29th Ave. S., where a 21-year-old woman was found shot in the head, just behind the ear. The victim was in her bedroom when multiple shots were fired into the home, police said.
Two other adults and a baby were in the home but were not injured, police said.
Medics and police provided first aid to the victim, and shortly thereafter she was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Her injury was classified as non-critical.
According to investigators, it appears the home was specifically targeted, however, the reasoning at this time is unknown.
“We have no suspect information, and very limited information to go off of this time,” said Det. Melanie Robinson.
