A Kent man was found shot to death early Thursday morning on East Hill, Kent Police reported.
Around 1:56 a.m., Kent patrol units responded to a report of a man being shot in the area of 22400 Benson Road Southeast. Upon arrival, police found the 25-year-old man unresponsive. CPR was initiated, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Early investigation indicates that there was a dispute between the victim and another individual who fled the scene before police arrived. There is limited suspect information and nothing conclusive to release at this time, police said.
Preliminary reports indicate that this was not a random incident, according to witnesses at the location. The investigation is still in its early stages, and the relationship between the suspect and the victim is still being determined, police said..
Investigators continue to interview potential witnesses, process the crime scene and follow up on available leads.
