The Kent Police Department will host its next “Coffee with the Chief” event at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at the Golden Steer Steak ‘n Rib House, 23826 104th Ave. S.E.
It’s an informal gathering to meet Chief Ken Thomas, ask questions, or just hang out and hear about some of the things happening in the city. Members of the police Neighborhood Response Team and Community Education Unit also will be present.
As a special bonus, the Kent Police Department will give away AAA 42-piece road safety kits to the first 20 people who show up at the event.
