Kent Police closed 100th Avenue Southeast between South 213th Street and South 216th Street at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday after a report of gunshots that were heard.
As many as eight or more police vehicles responded to the scene, according to a witness.
“We received an anonymous call that someone heard some gunshots being fired so we responded to the area,” police spokesman Jarod Kasner said in an email. “We haven’t found any victims or indications of gunshots being fired.”
Police closed the road temporarily because so many police vehicles were in the area and it was close to commuting hours, Kasner said.
