Kent Police arrested a 32-year-old Kent man for investigation of robbery after he allegedly took cash from a woman using a BECU cash machine outside the Domino’s store, 26019 104th Ave. S.E.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a gun at about 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16. The woman, 35, reported the man pointed a gun at her and demanded cash, according to Kent Police. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A witness who was ordering pizza saw a white man with a hood pulled over his head pull out a gun and rob the woman, according to police. A Domino’s employee temporarily locked everyone inside the store. The witness left the store and used his cellphone to film the man fleeing. He also was able to get the license plate number of the car the man fled in.
A short time later, a police officer spotted the car eastbound on Southeast 240th Street. Police used spikes in the road to eventually stop the vehicle near 108th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 192nd Street.
