A sampling of Kent Police incidents Feb. 24 to March 6:

Feb. 24

Pursuit: 4:38 p.m., officers witnessed a State Patrol trooper attempting to stop a suspected DUI driver. The silver Ford Taurus took off on the trooper through the Riverwood Apartments, 24620 Russell Road. The trooper terminated the pursuit prior to making it out onto 64th Avenue South. The suspect ditched the car in the Midtown 64 Apartments, 24615 64th Ave. S., and fled on foot. The suspect was ultimately spotted hiding 20 feet up a tree along the Green River and taken into custody without incident.

Feb. 27

Shots fired: 11:09 p.m., unknown suspect(s) shot six rounds into one occupied apartment in the 10000 block of SE 258th Place. There were no injuries. Six .45 caliber casings were found on the Arterra Townhomes parking lot adjacent to the victim’s apartment. There was no suspect information.

March 3

Robbery: 7:12 p.m., a suspect, implying he had a gun, robbed GameStop of their cash. There was a GPS tracker with the cash. The suspect fled on foot and the tracker led patrol to the Shell station at 25014 74th Ave. S. The suspect was in bathroom. He came out, and the bathroom was checked. A backpack and GameStop bag were located in the trash. The subject was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to King County Jail.

March 4

Teen pulls out gun: 10:40 p.m., a 13-year-old suspect challenged another teen to a fist fight. Both agreed to meet to fight, however the 13-year-old pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. The victim and other family members retreated to their unit. Ultimately, the suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident. Consent to search was granted by the mother, however the firearm in this incident was not located. The teen was transported to Juvenile Detention.

March 5

Bullet holes: 7:44 p.m., a victim and her two young children arrived home to Arterra Townhomes, 10000 block of SE 258th Place, to find four bullet holes in the backside of the apartment through the wall and windows. Officers found 13 9mm casings in the back area of the apartment. Officers have been here several times for different shootings and believe this is related to the Row Apartments, 25426 98th Ave.S., next door, due to a call at 7:44 p.m. of an illegal discharge report near this scene at the Row Apartments.

March 6

Vehicle prowl with gun: 10:30 a.m., patrol was dispatched to possible car prowling and a suspect with a gun at Hawthorne Suites, 6329 S. 212th St. The two males and two female suspects were located in their red Honda at the Wendy’s drive-thru and detained. Officers were able to confirm via video that the 30-year-old suspect in the backseat pointed a gun at the victim in the parking lot. A handgun could be seen in plain view in the backseat sticking out of a backpack. Vehicle was seized pending a warrant. Suspects also had other warrants for their arrest.

Stolen vehicle pursuit: 3:33 p.m., patrol locates an occupied stolen vehicle and attempts to pull it over at Kent Des Moines Road and Military Road South. The stolen vehicle attempts to flee by going northbound on I-5, then decides to drive between the two westbound lanes of traffic under the freeway. The stolen vehicle strikes two occupied vehicles, causing minor injuries to occupants and then driver attempts to flee on foot. The suspect was taken into custody after a foot chase and Taser deployment. The suspect was transported to King County Jail.

Car on golf course: 3:46 p.m., a VW Rabbit runs a red light going westbound on Meeker Street at Washington Avenue and is hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Washington. The Rabbit, even after sustaining significant intrusion and driver’s side damage, continues to drive westbound on Meeker, followed by several witnesses. The suspect drives onto the Riverbend golf course at Russell Road/Meeker, followed onto the greens by two witness vehicles. The suspect drives through the access gate at the northeast corner of the course and onto Russell, where he drives into Hogan Park and exits, walking around for a few moments. The witnesses are stopped by irate golfers. The suspect gets back into his car and drives onto Russell Road, where he is located by a passing patrol car. Suspect turns back into Hogan Park, refuses to stop and the resulting PIT maneuver on the car by an officer is successful, stopping the suspect’s vehicle in the south parking lot. Suspect has no injuries at all from collision but suffers from dementia and is taken to Valley Medical Center in Renton. Damage to victim vehicle, gate at golf course and greens on the 7th hole. Minor scrapes and paint transfer to patrol car.
