Incidents include knife fight, shots fired, robbery arrests and fatal semi repair

A sampling of Kent Police incidents Aug. 31-Sept. 13:

Aug. 31

Knife fight: 8:12 p.m., officers responded to reports of a large fight with knives at the Driftwood Apartments, 1610 W. James Pl. A woman was taken into custody and booked at King County jail for felony harassment for chasing juveniles with a knife.

Sept. 3

Shot in foot: 11:33 p.m., a shooting was reported at 7-Eleven and the Ishtar restaurant on Central Avenue South. A female told dispatch her boyfriend was shot in the foot by an unknown transient male. Both the female and her boyfriend initially did not want contact. The male had a felony warrant for second-degree robbery and told the female via text he did not want the police to know where he was at. Two casings were recovered at Ishtar. The suspect was not located.

Sept. 5

Shots fired: 8:13 a.m., patrol responded to the 9800 block of South 252nd Street for shots fired after a dispute at a party that went into the morning. There were no victims.

Robbery arrests: 7:13 p.m., two uncooperative suspects were arrested for strong-arm robbery at Alpha XR on 104th Avenue SE and SE 256th Street. Officers were able to take both subjects into custody without using force and dealt with numerous associates that arrived at the scene after the arrests.

Fatal semi repair: 7:20 p.m., a man was working under a semi-truck in his driveway when the jack failed and the semi crushed the man, killing him. Sadly, his 11- year-old son was outside and watched the incident occur.

Sept. 9

Girlfriend assaulted: 3:55 a.m., a suspect boyfriend seriously assaulted his girlfriend in violation of a no contact order. The suspect fled into the wooded area when patrol arrived.

Sept. 13

Stabbed in neck: 9:17 p.m., officers provided trauma aid to a male victim who had been stabbed in the neck. The male was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and taken to surgery. There was a family barbecue at Country Glen Apartments, 27400 132nd Ave. SE, when a family member walked up to the victim, and without any provocation, hit him on the neck with a wine glass that shattered and cut his neck.
