Kent Police arrest woman, 29, for stabbing, injuring 42-year-old man

Officers track down woman Oct. 7 four days after incident at man’s East Hill home

With assistance from the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter, Kent Police arrested a 29-year-old Kent woman for investigation of assault after she reportedly stabbed and injured a 42-year-old man in his home.

After identifying the woman allegedly involved in the Oct. 3 incident at a residence in the 23600 block of 126th Avenue SE, officers spotted the woman traveling in her vehicle at about 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, according to Kent Police. The woman returned to her home.

Officers, including Valley SWAT, set up containment around the area and began to announce over a loudspeaker for the woman to exit her home, according to police. After a few minutes, officers determined the woman had fled on foot just prior to police arriving. Multiple officers searched the area, with assistance from Guardian One, found the woman and took her into custody without incident a short time later.

Officers responded at about 4:06 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 after receiving a 911 call from a man who said he had been stabbed in his house by an unknown female, according to police. Upon arrival, officers found the man standing in the street, bleeding from multiple stab wounds.

Officers and Puget Sound Fire personnel immediately began lifesaving measures, which sustained the man for his transport to a local hospital. The man had been stabbed more than once, but despite his severe and life-threatening injuries, he survived.

After tending to the man, officers obtained a search warrant for the house. The residence was cleared, and no additional victims or suspects were found. Through investigative work, officers were able to identify the woman using photographs.

Detectives continue to collect evidence and investigate the circumstances that led up to the assault, according to police.
