Kent Police arrested a 39-year-old Kent man for allegedly pointing a rifle at another resident in an apartment complex and then firing a bullet into the ground.
Officers responded to an incident involving a gun at about 5:23 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at the Phoenix Court Apartments in the 11100 block of SE 238th Street, according to Kent Police. Dispatch advised officers that an apartment resident had pointed a rifle at another resident and then fired a shot into the ground.
Officers arrived and tracked down a video of the incident to help develop probable cause to arrest the man for investigation of illegal discharge and unlawful possession of a firearm. Officers found the man nearby and took him into custody. He was booked into the King County jail.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident, including what led to the dispute, according to police.
