A 38-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday in Kent after being struck by a Metro bus while walking along 104th Avenue Southeast near the Applebee’s restaurant.
The man, reportedly a transient from Florida, apparently stepped off or fell off a curb into traffic, said Kent Police spokesman Jarod Kasner, in a Tuesday phone interview. The accident occurred at about 1:40 p.m.
The man was conscious when police and Kent Fire Department crews arrived, Kasner said. Paramedics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
