Aaron Powers has been added to the list of honorees at the 22nd annual Kent Old Timers Reunion from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St.
Powers will turn 96 years old in August.
A group started the reunion to help make sure that people who lived in Kent and have given time and service to the community are recognized for their contributions.
The honorees this year are Powers, Harold and Mary (Osborne) Botts, Bertha (Schoenbachl) Pozzi, Joseph Silvestri, and Harold and Murial (Moore ) Vickrey.
The celebration includes introduction of honorees and a short acknowledgement of their accomplishments.
Items on display at the free event include Kent school yearbooks, old newspapers and memorabilia that is provided by the Kent Museum.
Refreshments will follow the program.
