An 18-year-old Kent motorcyclist was critically injured at about 5:37 p.m. Sunday after colliding with a disabled car parked near the shoulder along eastbound Highway 18, just south of the Southeast 304th Street exit in Auburn.
Eduardo V. Vazquez remained in serious condition Monday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said a hospital spokeswoman.
Vazquez, driving a 2001 Yamaha, reportedly collided with the back of a 1996 Dodge Neon driven by a 30-year-old Auburn woman, according to a Washington State Patrol media release. Vazquez wore a helmet. The Auburn woman was not injured. She was alone in the car.
The State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
