A 42-year-old Kent man suffered serious injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday evening, June 11 in the 13500 block of SE 272nd Street on the East Hill.
A car, driven by a 37-year-old Des Moines woman, made a left-hand turn from 135th Avenue Southeast, to go westbound on Southeast 272nd Street, reportedly turning in front of the motorcyclist as he was traveling eastbound on SE 272nd Street, according to a June 15 email from Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner.
Kasner said the woman was not impaired and cooperated with traffic investigators at the scene.
Firefighters and paramedics treated the man and transported him to Station 75 so he could be airlifted to a Seattle-area hospital, according to Puget Sound Fire.
The man is expected to survive but has significant injuries, Kasner said.
