Six people were displaced after a fire started in their Kent mobile home at about 1:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 24400 block of 64th Avenue South.
One adult and several children were inside when smoke began to fill the double-wide mobile home, according to a Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority media release.
Everyone was able to get out safely, though the adult was treated by King County Medic One and transported by ambulance to a local hospital due to smoke inhalation.
A neighbor reported the fire. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flames from the back side of the building. It only took seven minutes to fully extinguish the fire.
Red Cross is assisting the family and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
