Kent Mayor Dana Ralph and Finance Director Aaron BeMiller will host the second of three community meetings to discuss the serious financial challenges of the city at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21 at Sunrise Elementary School, 22300 132nd Ave. SE.
Residents will hear a short presentation by BeMiller and then can participate in a question and answer session with Ralph and BeMiller about the budget and the city’s spending priorities.
A third meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Kent Senior Center, 600 E. Smith St. Ralph had her first public budget meeting in March on the West Hill.
Residents also can make comments about the budget online at KentWA.gov/budgetfeedback.
