Kent Police arrested a man and a woman for allegedly killing a 60-year-old man Monday night, Feb. 22 in his East Hill home.
Officers were dispatched at about 8:55 p.m. to a home in the 13200 block of Southeast 277th Street to assist paramedics with a CPR in progress, according to Kent Police. Paramedics were on scene providing life-saving measures. They observed an assault on the man, so they called for police assistance. The man died at the scene.
Officers interviewed witnesses who said that two adult suspects were known and had been in the resident’s home providing a home repair service when an argument ensued over payment and the two assaulted the man.
The suspects fled the area in an unknown type truck, but an officer obtained a vehicle description through investigation and police located the truck in north Kent still occupied by both suspects.
Police took a 31-year-old Kent man and a 27-year-old Kent woman into custody without incident.
In a statement, police did not say how the man was assaulted.
