A shooting Wednesday night, July 29, in the parking lot of the Rainier Avenue Kentucky Fried Chicken in Renton, left two people shot and injured, including a Kent man.
All those involved are believed to be identified by Renton Police. The motive of the shooting is under investigation.
At around 10:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a shooting, where the caller reported a man approached her boyfriend and put a gun to his head, telling her not to move, and then several shots were fired, according to a Renton Police news release.
When police arrived they discovered a Kent man with a gunshot wound to the hand. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for a non-life threatening injury.
A short time later, police say an off-duty officer saw a car driving at a high speed in Kent with bullet holes, and notified on-duty police. The two occupants were detained by police without incident as the car is believed to be connected to the shooting.
Around that time another man was brought to Harborview for a gunshot wound to the torso, who police believe was also involved in the same shooting. The 21 year old is in stable but critical condition.
