Two men, one of them armed with a handgun, reportedly robbed a clerk July 3 at a service station in the 1200 block of Central Avenue North.
The clerk told police that two men wearing sweatshirts and masks came into the service station. As the clerk walked to the counter, one of the men allegedly held a silver revolver to the clerk’s head and told him to give him the money from the cash register, according to the police report. The man also told the clerk he would shoot him if he did not cooperate.
After the clerk gave the man the cash from the register, the two men wanted to go to the store’s office to get a copy of the surveillance videotape that had been running inside the store during the event. The clerk told the men he didn’t have the codes to enter the office.
The men then left the store. The clerk called 911. The clerk told police he did not know if the men left on foot or in a vehicle.
