The Washington State Patrol arrested a 25-year-old Kent man for investigation of vehicular assault and DUI after he reportedly flipped a car near State Route 599 in Tukwila and injured his passenger, a 25-year-old Kent woman.
The man was driving a 2010 BMW 550 at a high rate of speed southbound on South 133rd Street to southbound State Route 599 at about 3:13 a.m. on Sunday, March 14 when he struck the light rail barrier and the car came to a rest on its left side, according to the State Patrol.
Paramedics transported a 25-year-old Kent woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The Kent driver was injured but not transported to a hospital. The driver was wearing a seatbelt but the passenger didn’t have a seatbelt on. The vehicle was totaled.
