A 60-year-old Kent man died early Thursday morning, April 14 in a head-on collision in the 18300 block of West Valley Highway in Kent, just south of South 180th Street.
The crash occurred at about 5:52 a.m., according to an email from Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner.
The Kent man was driving northbound on the West Valley Highway when he reportedly crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle traveling southbound, Kasner said. Speed and weather may have been contributing factors to the collision.
Paramedics transported a 50-year-old Auburn man, who was driving the southbound vehicle, to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Kasner said.
A semi driver also involved in the collision was not injured. The truck suffered minor damage.
There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the Kent man’s identification after it finishes its investigation.
