A 26-year-old Kent man was fatally shot Thursday evening, April 27 at a Kent apartment complex in the 23200 block of 61st Avenue South, just northwest of Neely-O’Brien Elementary School.
Officers responded at about 6:34 p.m. to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex, according to a Kent Police statement. A 911 caller reported sounds of a gunshot and a person lying in the parking lot.
Officers found a man with a life-threatening injury. Officers initiated lifesaving efforts that were taken over by Puget Sound Fire and medics upon their arrival, but the man died at the scene.
