Kent house fire displaces three people; nobody injured

House fully involved when firefighters arrived Tuesday evening, Aug. 1 in 21200 block of 94th Ave. S.

Three people were displaced after a two-alarm Kent house fire Tuesday evening, Aug. 1 in the 21200 block of 94th Place South.

The house was fully involved when firefighters arrived at about 5:15 p.m., according to Puget Sound Fire.

“It took firefighters approximately one hour to extinguisher the fire and another two hours of extinguishing hotspots,” Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak said in a Aug. 3 email.

Fifteen fire department units and approximately 40 fire department personnel were on the scene, Pawlak said. Renton Regional Fire Authority, King County Medic One and the Zone 3 Fire Cadets also responded.

One person was home when the fire started and made it out safely, Pawlak said. Nobody was injured. American Red Cross is assisting the three residents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Pawlak said.
