Kentwood, Kent-Meridian, Kentlake and Kentridge high schools each had graduation on Saturday, June 17 at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent.
Kentwood drew the 8:30 a.m. slot followed by Kent-Meridian at 12:30 p.m., Kentlake at 4:30 p.m. and Kentridge at 8 p.m.
Kentridge had 408 graduates, Kent-Meridian 377, Kentwood 362 and Kentlake 310, according to the Kent School District.
Kentwood’s valedictorians included Saveria V. Avantaggio, Sehaj Dhillon, Nguyen B. Tran, Hope C. Villarreal and Autymn L. Raap.
Kent-Meridian had a lone valedictorian in Aicha Toure.
Valedictorians for Kentlake were Claire Ryan, Horia Selay, Bao Chau Tran and Ashley Wansitler.
Kentridge’s valedictorians were Jonathan Chen, Ashley Keatts, Breanna Newburn, Trevor Tom, Anthony Covello, Rebecca Kinstle, Jennifer Nguyen, Tiffany Do, Nathan Li and Tony Punnacherry.
The school district’s iGrad graduates were part of the Kent-Meridian ceremony. The Kent Laboratory Academy graduation was June 15 at the Kent-Meridian gym. The Outreach Program (TOP) had its ceremony June 8 at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center. The Kent Virtual Academy will graduate June 22 at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center.
