Linda Butler and her dog, Miss Nisi, look forward to coming to the Kent Farmers Market each spring.
The Kent woman and her 9-year-old poodle mix are frequent visitors to the Market, which opened last Saturday under mostly sunny skies in Town Square Plaza.
“We like the farmers market and Kent Cornucopia Days,” Butler said. “We enjoy the people. We have many friends here.
“And Nisi has to make her public appearances.”
For the record, Nisi is the official mascot of the market.
The market, a Kent Lions community service project, is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 23 at the plaza, Second Avenue North and West Smith Street.
