Kent East Hill Revitalization (KEHR) invites the public to its inaugural community social from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Benson Plaza Shopping Center, 23617 104th Ave. SE, Kent.

KEHR (pronounced CARE) presents a celebration of the residents, businesses and community on the East Hill.

The KEHR project is an effort to engage the community and develop a plan that is driven by residents, businesses and community members. The effort will be inclusive and encourage participation from East Hill’s diverse community. The group’s goal is to create a vibrant and livable community that has a distinct sense of place and gives all residents a reason to be proud of the place they live, work and play.Over the last three months a group of East Hill residents, business owners and community members have been meeting to discuss the future of the area East Hill.

The public is invited to discuss the group’s focus on youth and family engagement, economic development, physical improvements and the creation of an international cultural district.
