Kent Democrat Debra Entenman is on her way to winning a third consecutive race for the 47th Legislative District House Position No. 1.
Entenman leads with 57.63% (14.406 votes) of the vote compared to Covington Republican Kyle Lyebyedyev with 42.22% (10,553 votes), according to King County Elections on Tuesday night, Nov. 8.
District 47 covers parts of Kent and Auburn and all of Covington.
Entenman had 55% of the vote in the August primary to defeat Lyebyedyev with 31% and Jessie Ramsey with 13%.
Entenman defeated Lyebyedyev in 2020 with 58% of the vote and beat incumbent Mark Hargrove, R-Covington, in 2018.
Entenman has raised $90,038 and spent $74,449, according to the state Public Disclosure Commission. Lyebyedyev has raised $103,986 and spent $78,738. He received about $44,000 from the House Republican Organizational Committee. He raised just $28,562 in 2020 when Entenman raised $87,737.
