It could get pretty windy Tuesday afternoon and evening in Kent and the rest of the Puget Sound area.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until midnight Tuesday as a frontal system could bring winds of 30 to 35 mph and gusts up to 45 mph to the lowlands of Western Washington, including the Seattle, Bremerton, Everett and Tacoma areas.
The winds are expected to switch to southerly and reach their peak Tuesday afternoon and evening.
While winds of this strength should not cause widespread damage, they can bring down small trees and branches with local power outages.
A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds of 30-39 mph or gusts of 45-57 mph are likely.
