The city of Kent on Wednesday closed 42nd Avenue South to traffic between South 212th Street and South 216th Street just south of Orillia Road because of ice on the road.
City crews plan to keep the road closed until Monday, Nov. 30 because of cold temperatures. Heavy rains over the past week caused water over the roadway along the street, although vehicles were able to drive through the water.
