Enjoy the outdoors and participate Dec. 11 in the 28th annual city of Kent Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk.
The 10-kilometer run and 5K run and walk are certified out and back courses that start at the Riverbend Golf Complex along West Meeker Street. Parking is available at Russell Road Park, 24400 Russell Road. The 10K begins at 9:50 a.m. and the 5K at 10 a.m.
Registration fees are $20. Participants ages 13 and younger run for free because of a donation by Tab Wizard, a Kent-based software company.

More than 1,800 people participated in the event last year.
