The Kent Chamber of Commerce hosts Mayor Suzette Cooke’s annual State of the City Address and luncheon Wednesday, March 6 at Meridian Valley Country Club, 24830 136th Ave. SE.
The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cooke will highlight the city’s accomplishments over the last year, and present the mayor’s plans to build a stronger community from an economic, transportation and neighborhood standpoint.
“Our city is breaking through the worst recession in recent times, and we have the opportunity to start new, work together and produce real results that move our economy and our community forward,” Cooke said. “This is our chance to get it right so we can build a strong, vibrant city for future generations.”

“This event is a great opportunity for the community to come together to hear what the Mayor’s vision is for our city. The event cost is $30 per person, which includes lunch. Cost for Chamber members is $20. There is a $5 charge for attendees who wish to attend but forgo the lunch.
