Volunteers are wanted to help the Friends of Lake Meridian Park weed the park as part of the Green Kent Partership program.
The work party is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 14. Volunteers can register by going to www.cascadeland.org.
The Green Kent Partnership is a collaboration between the city of Kent, the Kent community, and Cascade Land Conservancy to restore and maintain the natural areas and parks of the city.
Participants are asked to bring work clothes to match the weather forecast, boots to wade in water and mud, a water bottle and snacks. In addition to weeding, volunteers also will do some planting.
Volunteers will meet at the boat launch parking lot at the 152nd Way Southeast entrance.
