In the 14th anniversary year of the Give the Gift of Peace campaign, Jacksons Food Stores and its customers donated a total of $183,573.52 ($91,786.76 from customer donations and matched dollar for dollar by Jacksons) as part of the commitment to create more compassionate communities.
Jacksons presented the contribution check to the coalitions against domestic violence from Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah during a Monday news conference at a Jacksons store location in Boise.
Since the inception of the campaign, more than $1.3 million has been raised. The campaign ran from Nov. 22 through Christmas Day.
Jacksons sold paper doves in $1, $5 and $10 increments in all of their stores in six states of operation to raise funds for the prevention, education and support for victims of domestic violence and their children, sexual assault survivors and adolescents experiencing relationship abuse.
During the 2017 campaign in Washington, Jacksons Food Stores and its customers donated a total of $23,163.52 ($11,581.76 from customer donations and matched dollar for dollar by Jacksons).

Founded in 1990 by survivors of domestic violence and their allies, the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WSCADV) is a non-profit network of more than 70 domestic violence advocacy programs across the state of Washington.
WSCADV improves how communities respond to domestic violence and works to create a social intolerance for abuse. Their work includes research, training and technical assistance, producing educational tools, promoting domestic violence awareness, and public policy advocacy.
