The World Affairs Council is seeking globally minded families and individuals in the greater Seattle area to provide a home stay this summer for one or two weeks for Youth Leaders from Iraq, Mexico, China, the Middle East and North Africa.
These high school and college-aged youth leaders have been awarded scholarships from the U.S. Department of State and are excited to live with local host families as part of their program. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about cultures from around the world and to share a little of our own Pacific Northwest culture and hospitality.
Host one or two students from the following programs:
• Iraq (IYLEP): July 10-24
• Mexico (Jovenes en Accion): July 21-Aug. 2
• North Africa & the Middle East (MEPI): July 26-Aug. 3
• China: Aug. 12-23
A few important details:
• Participant must have a separate bedroom, although they can share with another participant.
• Families can host 1 or 2 participants and live anywhere in the greater Seattle area with access to public transportation.
• Participants take part in a leadership program organized by the World Affairs Council and have evenings and weekends free.
