Hundreds of local area high school students visited Green River College last Friday to participate in College Signing Day.
More than 200 graduating seniors from the Auburn, Kent, Tahoma and Enumclaw school districts and Muckleshoot Tribal Schools gathered in the Mel Lindbloom Student Union’s Grand Hall to listen to college leaders and students before touring the campus and making preparations for classes.
Students got the jump, participating in early registration for fall quarter, attending a resource fair and having the opportunity to win prizes throughout the day. College representatives participated in the resource fair, answered questions ranging from financial aid and student government, to athletics and student clubs.
“College Signing Day is an exciting way to get local students enrolled and ready for their first year as a Green River Gator,” said Kiana Fuega, director of Outreach and Recruitment,
The Welcome Center, Career and Advising Center, and Outreach and Recruitment sponsored the event.
