Friday could set coolest high temp for Nov. 3

The high temperature Friday might set a record coolest high temp for the date.

The record coolest high temp for Nov. 3 is 44 degrees at Sea-Tac Airport in 1974, according to the National Weather Service. That record could fall with highs struggling to get to 40 degrees.

At about 1:45 p.m. Friday, the temp was 34 degrees at Sea-Tac.

The weather service predicted a high of 43 Friday. Temperatures are expected to climb to 50 on Monday after highs of 47 on Saturday and 43 on Sunday.

Here’s the forecast for the rest of the weekend:

• Friday night: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. North northeast wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

• Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers after 11 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 47. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the morning.

• Saturday Night: Rain before 11 p.m., then rain and snow. Low around 32. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Northeast wind 5 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

•Sunday: Rain and snow showers likely before 11 a.m., then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy, with a high near 43. North wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

• Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

• Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50.
