Molina Healthcare offers free flue shots from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mercy Housing Appian Way Apartments, 25818 26th Place S., Kent.
The free vaccination will be given to the first 100 adults and 75 children. Assistance also will be available for those interested in enrolling into free or low-cost health insurance.
According to the Center for Disease control, anyone 6 months of age and older should get the flu shot as soon as it becomes available. The flu shot protects against the three main types of flu strains that research indicates will cause the most illness during the flu season.
