Four Kent-Meridian High School students were expelled after two fights broke out in the school lunchroom.
A fight broke out at about 11:15 a.m. Jan. 26 between two male students in the lunchroom, according to an email from Kent School District spokesman Mike Halliday. School safety officers and staff on duty immediately responded and pulled the two students away from each other.
As the two students were being led away, a second fight broke out when a friend of one of the students in the original altercation struck another student because he thought the student was going to hit his friend, Halliday said.
All four students were emergency expelled. No one needed any medical attention and no arrests were made.
