Puget Sound Fire firefighters extinguished a house fire Monday afternoon, June 3 in Kent and rescued two dogs and two cats.
Firefighters responded at about 2:41 p.m. to the 23400 block of 134th Court SE on the East Hill. No people were home at the time of the fire, said Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak in an email.
Four engines, a ladder truck, two command vehicles and one medic unit responded. Twenty-three emergency personnel responded. Firefighters put the fire out in about 20 minutes.
Firefighters were able to safely remove two dogs and two cats from the house. They are doing fine, Pawlak said.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, Pawlak said. The fire displaced two residents.
