For the Reporter

One person has lost his home following a mobile home fire in the 28400 block of 168 Ave. SE Saturday evening in an area known as Pleasant Valley.

The first call to 911 was shortly before 8 p.m. Firefighters from the Kent, Fire District 44, and Maple Valley fire departments found fire coming from one side of the double wide mobile home along with a great deal of smoke. Although the fire was extinguished quickly, most of the contents of the trailer were destroyed, fire officials said.

No other homes were affected.

The resident, an adult male, was not home at the time of the fire and is cooperating with fire investigators to determine a cause.

Red Cross and family assisted him.

It is not known whether there were any working smoke alarms in the home.
