Fire damaged a Kent commercial building used for storage at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 26100 block of 78th Avenue South.
A passerby called 911 to report smoke and flames at the building, according to a Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority media release.
Units from Kent, Valley Regional Fire Authority, South King Fire & Rescue and King County Medic One were dispatched to the fire.
Fire crews initially fought the fire from the exterior. Crews found no one inside the structure once they were able to enter it. Firefighters extinguished the fire just after 1 a.m. Nobody was injured.
The owner of the business told fire investigators the building was being used for storage. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire as well as the damage amount.
