Farrington Court in Kent recently celebrated earning a Best Assisted Living award from SeniorAdvisor.com for the eighth consecutive year.
The Best of 2022 Senior Living Award winners are the highest-rated senior living communities, earning reviews from residents and families that placed them in the top 2% to 3% of senior care providers nationwide, according to Senior Advisor.com. Residents and families praised the senior care these best senior living communities provided, whether through independent living, assisted living, memory care or in-home care.
“We have received this prestigious award eight years in a row now and appreciate our families and residents rating us so highly,” said Marcia Byrd, Farrington Court executive director, in an email. “This award is given to 2% to 3% of senior living communities out of 45,000 in the U.S. and Canada.”
Kent Mayor Dana Ralph, Police Chief Rafael Padilla and City Councilmember Les Thomas attended a Feb. 23 celebration at Farrington Court, 516 Kenosia Ave., to recognize its achievement.
“The event was a wonderful success for the Kent community of choice, Farrington Court,” Byrd said. “We also are celebrating 50 years of success in the Kent community.”
Farrington Court is a 62-plus senior community that offers comfortable, spacious apartment homes in a fun and active retirement community. The facility is managed by Utah-based Stellar Senior Living, which has set high standards for the retirement industry and has communities in eight states. Farrington Court offers a wide variety of choices in guest services, amenities, resort-style living and in all things “fun.”
The dining room operates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for anytime dining. All meals are served restaurant-style, prepared for residents by its very own chef.
Programs include trips to Ocean Shores or Mount Rainier. A Zumba Gold fitness class or join the Nordic Pole Walking Club. Sit down and enjoy a leisurely game of penny poker, a game of Bean Bag Baseball or play a double hand of Pinochle.
