Kent Elvis at The Place, featuring snacks, workshops and a Danny Vernon dinner concert, runs 5 to 8 p.m. March 6 at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for appetizers provided by Nellie’s Deli (compliments of SHAG Housing).
The 5:15 p.m. workshop, Social Security 101, is presented by Kirk Larson, regional public affairs representative with the U.S. Social Security Administration.
The 6 p.m. workshop, Medicare Update, 2014, is presented by Liz Mercer, a regional trainer for the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors from the Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner.
The evening culminates with an exclusive burgers and chips dinner concert featuring one of the top Elvis illusionists, Vernon, who performed one of his first gigs on the senior center stage in 1999.
