• Kent Police arrested a woman in her 20s for investigation of malicious mischief after she allegedly kicked a screen door and broke a window at a home after a man refused to let her inside to use the bathroom.

The man told officers he didn’t know the woman who banged on his front door at about 8:58 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 900 block of West Meeker Street, according to the police report.

Officers arrived, they found the woman pulling up her pants after urinating by trees near a parking lot not far from the house. Police reported the woman as being extremely intoxicated.

No peace

• Officers arrested a woman for investigation of disturbing the peace after neighbors complained about her yelling, screaming and slamming doors.

Officers responded to a complaint at about 12:16 a.m. Feb. 1 at a condominium complex in the 10100 block of Southeast 235th Place, according to the police report.

Police arrived at the complex and could hear the woman still yelling. She yelled and cursed about a neighbor as officers approached her door. The officers advised her to be quiet or she would be arrested for disturbing the peace.

Wheelchair fisticuffs

• Kent Police arrested a man in a wheelchair for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he reportedly punched another man in a wheelchair about seven times in the head at a rehabilitation center.

Officers responded at about 12:19 p.m. Feb. 14 to a fight at the Benson Heights Rehab Center, 22410 Benson Road S.E., according to the police report.

Employees had broken up the fight between the two men at a hallway in the complex. The man who threw the punches said he became upset after the other man yelled and kicked at him, so he started to punch the man in the head.

Up on the rooftop

• Officers arrested a man for investigation of malicious mischief after he fell through the roof of a house onto a porch.

The man told officers that he didn’t know anyone who lived in the home in the 300 block of Alder Lane and he was “only looking for a place to sleep,” according to the police report.

The incident started at about 6:29 p.m. April 1 when a witness called 911 to report a man trying to get into a Jeep parked and unoccupied in the 1300 block of South Central Avenue.

Grandma got pulled over

• Kent Police arrested a 48-year-old grandmother for investigation of driving under the influence and possession of methamphetamine after pulling her vehicle over near Kent along Interstate 5.

The incident started at about 6 a.m. July 26 when a Kent officer on a return trip from Tacoma spotted a vehicle behind him speeding up and slowing down very dramatically as well as crossing the left shoulder line, according to the police report.

The woman had three young grandchildren in the vehicle with her. She told the officer she had been driving all night and had been drinking a lot of coffee and 5-hour energy drinks to stay awake so she could meet up with her husband in Bellingham.

Food fight!

• Officers arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he reportedly punched a roommate who accused him of stealing food from a refrigerator.

Officers responded to a dispute at about 4:31 p.m. on Sept. 21 at a home in the 24500 block of 104th Avenue Southeast, according to the police report.

A man told police his roommate had stolen his food from their refrigerator, eaten it and then punched him after he accused him of taking the food.

Sexual demands

• Kent Police arrested a man for investigation of harassment after he allegedly threatened his wife with a knife after she declined to have sex with him.

A daughter of the couple called 911 to report the incident at about 1:57 a.m. on Nov. 16 at an apartment in the 25800 block of 26th Place South, according to the police report.

The wife told police her husband became upset because she declined to have sex with him. He then accused her of cheating on him. The woman denied having an affair.

Man punches girlfriend; police dog

• Officers arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault for allegedly punching his girlfriend and busted him for offenses against a police dog after he reportedly punched the animal in the face after it found him hiding under a backyard tarp.

An officer kicked the man in the chest to get him away from the dog during the incident at about 3:03 a.m. April 13 that started near East Smith Street and Central Avenue North, according to the police report.
