Kent

Kent Station will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt and festivities from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kent Station.

Included in the fun is a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Families are encouraged to bring their own cameras for free bunny photos. Kent Station is also hosting a scavenger hunt for ages 12 and under. Kids can get their first clue in the Plaza.

But the main event, of course, is the Easter Egg hunt itself, which begins at 11 a.m. for children age 3 and under and at 11:30 for kids ages 4 – 6.

The eggs will be filled with Dilletante chocolates, temporary tattoos and special offers from merchants.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information, visit www.kentstation.com.

Des Moines

The search is on this Sunday in Des Moines.

Youngsters in sixth grade and younger are welcome at the Des Moines Spring Egg Hunt, which will take place at Beach Park (22030 Cliff Ave. South).

Children will be divided up into groups for each respective egg hunt. Kindergarten through third grade will be one group while fourth through sixth graders will be the other.

There also will be separate hunt areas for preschool-aged children.

In addition to the egg hunts, the always-popular Easter Bunny will be on site for pictures.

Cost is only $2 per child.

The two-hour event will take place between 9-11 a.m. For more information, call 206-870-6527 or e-mail recreation@desmoines.gov.

Church plans hunt

A free Easter egg hunt starts 10 a.m. April 11 at Grace Lutheran Church, 22975 24th Ave. S., Des Moines. For children aged 0 through fifth grade. Thousands of stuffed eggs, refreshments, games, crafts, prizes and face painting are available. Call 206-878-2460 or www.gotograce.com.
