Nearly 500 people attended an event Thursday in Bellevue to support Reagan Dunn’s bid for re-election next year to the King County Council.
“I’m honored to receive such overwhelming support,” said Dunn in a media release. “I am very proud of my record at the King County Council and as this kickoff demonstrates, I’m committed to running a robust and vigorous campaign for re-election.”
Dunn’s District 9 includes much of Kent’s East Hill. He has served on the council since 2005. He lost to Bob Ferguson in a race for state attorney general in 2012.
Rob McKenna, former state attorney general, headlined the campaign event. State Sen. Joe Fain, R-Auburn, also showed up to voice support for Dunn. The event brought in nearly $50,000 to Dunn’s campaign.
