Several downtown Kent streets will temporarily close between 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, for the Khalsa Day Parade, hosted by the local Sikh community.
Kent Police will provide a rolling closure of streets for the parade. The parade starts at about 2 p.m. from the west parking lot at the ShoWare Center, turns right (west) onto James Street, then south on Lincoln Avenue North, east on Meeker Street to Fourth Avenue North, north on Fourth Avenue to Ramsay Way, left on Ramsay Way between the Regional Justice Center and Kent Commons to the light at James Street, crossing James Street into the ShoWare parking lot.
