The King County Sheriff’s Office Fire/Arson Investigation Unit and the Des Moines Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance to help identify the individual or individuals responsible for setting a residential structure fire at 20847 Des Moines Memorial Drive.
At about 3:40 p.m. Friday, March 9, someone set a fire in the unoccupied residence that quickly spread throughout the remainder of the structure causing more than $100,000 dollars in damage, according to a Des Moines Police media release.
Multiple fire units from South King Fire and Rescue, the Burien/Normandy Park Fire Department and SeaTac Fire Department responded to the blaze, which took more than three hours to bring under control.
Investigators determined the fire was incendiary in nature and posed an extreme life/safety risk to the responding fire department personnel and the public.

Arson Alarm is offering a reward from its $10,000 fund for the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
