The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the Oct. 24, 2024 manner of death of a 61-year-old Kent man as homicide.
Anthony Sperry died of acute pneumonia in the setting of immobility, left femoral neck fracture status post repair and blunt force injuries of left lower extremity, according to the Jan. 6 medical examiner’s office media report. The medical examiner’s initial report on Oct. 25, 2024, listed Sperry’s cause and manner of death as pending.
“This remains an open death investigation,” said Brandyn Hull, spokesperson for the King County Sheriff’s Office, in a Jan. 7 email.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive male at a residence in the 27100 block of 52nd Avenue South, Hull said. Firefighters were performing CPR, but Sperry died at the scene.
Hull had no other details about the incident.
“I’ll keep you posted if any updates become available to share,” Hull said.
Sperry was the founder and owner of Seattle Shuttle, according to his obituary posted on cadycremationservices.com. The Kent-based company provides transportation services in the Seattle area. Sperry’s home and business are in unincorporated King County.
